Requirements for an International Move to Argentina
To carry out your international move to Argentina, you will need to provide us with the following documents so we can submit them to Argentine Customs:
- Photocopy of the passport conused to enter the country.
- Photocopy of your DNI (Argentine ID) with an updated address.
- Immigration Movement Records Certificate.
- Customs clearance authorization, which we will process on your behalf.
- Certificate of Residence if required in your case.
- Letter of Guarantee , if you are shipping an exclusive (FCL) container.
- Surety bond, if you are a temporary resident.
The passport, DNI, customs clearance authorization and Letter of Guarantee require a signature certified by a notary public and legalized by the Colegio de Escribanos (Notaries' Association). We can help you through this process.

As a returning Argentine citizen or permanent resident, you have the right to import your personal belongings from anywhere in the world tax-free.
If you have spent more than 60 days IN Argentina before your return date, you must request a Certificate of Residence from the Argentine consulate in the country of origin in order to obtain the duty exemption.
The tax exemption does not include VAT, port, airport, or border charges, additional customs inspections, or storage and delay fees.
